Bright Bunnies

Another week already, where did the weekend go? I spent time on Saturday and Sunday evening finishing the floor quilt for Hollie's bub. I had a piece of fabric that had rabbits, baskets and birdhouses scattered across it that I thought could be chopped up and used in the blocks. Unfortunately the pattern wasn't printed on the grain, so I had to decide what I could do with it. Ahhh leaning logs....lol...
None of the blocks are the same, none of them are centered (which is a feat in itself as I'm such a perfectionist). After looking at them for a while I thought, it's only for the floor, to be sat on, spilt on and played on, so it doesn't have to be "perfect", just bright and happy will be fine with me.
I love the way a quilt gets all soft and wrinkly after it's been washed.
I've been working on my Christmas in July swap items, started three and decided all three just won't suite. So it's back to the drawing board. I've also been working on another pattern, and still have more baby items that need to be stitched. I definitely need another pair of hands, a new mind or perhaps more hours in the day. Maybe all three.

I stumbled across another new to me blogger yesterday. Jenny is from Australia and has created some lovely stitching /applique designs that she's sharing with bloggers. So pop on over and say hello and have a look at her pretty blocks.

Happy Stitching

Cute, cuddly, and colorful! I like how you quilted it. I'm always looking for new quilting designs. I think your swap partner will love whatever you make. Your work is gorgeous.

Lovely floor quilt...it's so much fun to pull the quilt out of the dryer and see how it has wrinkled up....

That is gorgeous! Well done! Can I ask what sort of foot you used on your sewing machine to do your quilting? It looks wonderful and very effective

I love that little quilt and I like the way you quilted it. I think it's a great quilting design for a quilt with lot's of seams. I'm going to have to do that. I love the brightness of it. Great job.

Linda, this is so cute and great for the floor quilt. I started on my daughters for the new grandbaby and put white in it. Just wasn't thinking. I agree with you on another set of hands.

Elefantz is a great blog to follow, and Jenny is simply lovely! I am sure she will be thrilled you have blogged about her!
I am just like you, need a cook, cleaner, ironing lady and a gardener!

Beautiful job! I love the freedom of it. I would have a very hard time with the "off-centeredness", but that is what makes it so whimsical and lovely.

I too love when the quilts are all soft...I love to wash and dry mine so they are soft! I think the litle blocks look cute!

Had to laugh about being perfect--that is so like me. But my most imperfect quilt is the one everyone in the family grabs when they are over sitting around. I love this quilt of yours. It has such happy colors.
